Shouldn't we combine these tables into one large one? I don't see the advantage in keeping separate tables for each letter. The table can be sorted aplhabetically anyway. A single list would allow the reader to sort the titles how they want, by year etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.76.6.9 (talk) 18:30, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Issues with list
[edit]- Column widths should be consistent from letter to letter.
- Duplicates - for example there is no need to list Alpha 1 as that is the development name of Major Havoc.
- There should be another color used to indicate unreleased prototype games and yet another color used to indicate games which were licensed from other companies (perhaps those shouldn't listed here at all ?)
- There are errors in the list but those are easily fixed.

I fixed the above items and a bunch of errors plus I added missing games. I'm strongly leaning towards removing the games which Atari licensed from other companies since they didn't develop those games. Asmpgmr (talk) 02:23, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- Personally, I'm okay with removing the prototypes and licensed games. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 14:41, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- The prototype games should be listed since Atari made so many of them. I only list a prototype game if one or more of the following is true:
- * the game is dumped and available in MAME
- * the game has appeared at the annual California Extreme classic arcade game show
- * there is ample information available online including pictures of cabinet

- Is this a list of all games the company Atari made for arcades, their various home console systems, and their computer systems? Should there be a column showing what each game was released on? Dream Focus 19:19, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- No, this list is just the arcade video games they released. I think it says that in the lead section. There are already lists for their console releases and whatnot. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 19:31, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- Whoops, I was looking at different articles at once. Yes, it says in the name, arcade games. Games they released for others should be listed somewhere also. I created a template and added it. Dream Focus 19:36, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

- Two thumbs up on the template! — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 19:47, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- Does it make sense to have tables like this split up by letter? It makes the sort-by-column feature largely useless, since it'll only sort within that letter. JohnH (talk) 00:32, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
- What about Xevious? https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Xevious - I came to this page looking for it, because I had forgotten the name but remembered it had an Atari Logo on it. I read the entire page looking for a vertical scroller matching my memories and nothing, but when I hit the bottom, the letter X sparked my memory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbrave (talk • contribs) 23:49, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Xevious wasn't made by Atari, Jbrave, it was distributed by them in America, I believe. I DO know that the makers of the game were Namco, which is why it shows up in collections like Namco Museum. User:CreeperDudeBro, (talk) 19:33, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
Wouldn't it make more sense for the games to be organized by year of released as opposed to first letter? It seems like a good idea, and you can keep everything like the color-coding for type of game and info, I just though being organized by year seemed better. - Came here to say that a list that’s unsortable is worthless garbage.
- creating so many list, BY letter is absurd.
- the most important, obvious sort is by time.
- maybe move the never released to a separate table.
- maybe move the licensed to a separate table.
- shrug
