Title

@Timmyshin: I've moved the article to the old title, as "Zhejiang politician" is not a good disambiguator. Chinese politicians get moved around a lot and it's unlikely he's going to remain in Zhejiang for the rest of his career. I'm open to discussion about the article title, but we should choose one that's likely to remain stable. -Zanhe (talk) 05:19, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

I acknowledge your opinion, but CCP politicians are notorious for falsifying their ages, plus per WP:NCPDAB, the correct format should be Li Qiang (politician, born 1959). If "Zhejiang politician" isn't good, how about "politician from Zhejiang"? I also moved Li Qiang (Jiangsu politician). Timmyshin (talk) 05:25, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

@Timmyshin: Well, we normally treat official ages as reliable unless it's proven otherwise. Your suggestion "politician from Zhejiang" may work for this article, but not for Li Qiang (Jiangsu politician), because there's a more prominent politician from Jiangsu, a government minister who doesn't yet have an English article. See zh:李强 (部长). Li Qiang (politician, born XXXX) may be the best solution, but I don't know how we should handle people with multiple careers, such as the government minister Li Qiang. -Zanhe (talk) 05:45, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

I never worry about people without enwiki articles, and I don't think you should either. I also think you are thinking too much on this issue, as believing someone will be transferred to another province is WP:Crystal to me. I appreciate that this is a possibility but that's almost like saying Li Qiang (canoeist) should be Li Qiang (born 1989) since the canoeist may one day become a superstar singer that would make his canoeist career appear irrelevant. If the politician does get transferred, the problem can be dealt with then. I see nothing wrong with "Zhejiang politician". Zhejiang is where he was born and where all his official career has been. I disagree that CCP politicians are "notorious for falsifying their ages", at least I see this as an assertion without much backup. I know the Olympic gymnasts do it to bypass age requirements but I don't see why or how politicians would do it. In any case, I think having "born (year)" is a workable compromise, although I don't feel so strongly about this issue about the Jiangsu politician since he seems to be going to jail and he spent his entire career in Jiangsu. For the Zhejiang one he most definitely will be transferred elsewhere come the 19th Party Congress so I don't think having the Zhejiang disambiguator is preferable. Hi @Timmyshin:, now that we have seemed to reach a rough consensus on this could you please undo the changes you made which moved in-article links "Li Qiang (born 1959)" to "Li Qiang (Zhejiang politician)"? This seems to have affected all articles which linked to this page. As an aside it seems likely that Li Qiang will be moving to a more substantial role outside of Zhejiang sometime soon so "Zhejiang politician" as a dismabiguator would not have worked anyhow. Thanks! • I'm sorry but I'm afraid I won't do it. As I've already explained, in my opinion subjective statements such as "it seems likely", "he will be" etc. are all WP:CRYSTAL and in violations of WP principles. If he in real life is moved to a government position outside Zhejiang then remind me, and I'd be happy to oblige; but as it stands now I find no convincing reason to do it. Primary topic

@Timmyshin: I'm puzzled by your assertion "not primary topic, the revolutionary gets twice as many page views" here. The Shanghai Party Chief and Politburo member, holding one of China's most important positions, is far more prominent than all other Li Qiang's combined and gets 5x more page views than Li Qiang (minister) (and I wrote both articles), see [1].
