Possible COI

[edit]

Bluepaperboi, based on your editing history and edit summaries (this "note" for example) I am concerned you have an undeclared conflict of interest. Do you work for or represent Leyna Bloom? Funcrunch (talk) 22:45, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Funcrunch, I copied the details from articles Leyna posted on her social media and her IMDB. I am a fan and have followed her career since she was a model. I'm not a good writer. Sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluepaperboi (talkcontribs) 21:48, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

IMDb states her birth date as April 25, 1990 (see https://www.imdb.com/name/nm9192069/). Her Wikipedia page states her birth date as 1993/1994 without further precision. I know that IMDb is not a good source, but am surprised by this discrepancy. Could somebody clear this issue, please? Nicolas Hermann FR (talk) 17:10, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nicolas Hermann FR: IMDb is not considered a reliable source for birthdates as the content on that site is contributed by users. Funcrunch (talk) 17:50, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is what I wrote myself and therefore I asked for a precision on her birthdate. Nicolas Hermann FR (talk) 20:58, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The French site Allociné mentiones her birthday as April 25, 1990, see https://www.allocine.fr/personne/fichepersonne_gen_cpersonne=854409.html . Nicolas Hermann FR (talk) 21:00, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What's his real name?

[edit]

What is this dude's real name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎LegitkobeMan456 (talkcontribs)

Per MOS:DEADNAME we don't include a trans individual's former name unless they were notable under that name, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Squeakachu (talk) 18:16, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

In talking about ball culture, the article says "having made an international name for herself walking the category of face.[3]". I don't know enough about ball culture to know if "face" is legitimate, or if it is someone's unnoticed attempt at a dirty joke. Somebody who knows more about this subject, please evaluate this. -- MelanieN (talk) 16:33, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know much about this subject. I didn't even realize the "ballroom" the article mentions was different from ballroom dancing until I googled Leyna Bloom. That being said, I think it's legit. Some of the sites I found:House of Luna ball categories, the ballroom glossary, Redbull's guide to the ballroom scene. Not sure if any of those are usable as refs for us, but they're enough to convince me that the sentence you mentioned isn't vandalism. I've edited that section a bit to hopefully make it a little more accessible for those of us who aren't familiar with this particular subculture. Squeakachu (talk) 17:18, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
