Two questions

[edit]

1. What are the operational limits of the M2, in regard to ice and snow ? It is often said that rubber-tire subways cannot operate in winter climate.

2. Is this the only Metro system in Switzerland? 85.210.47.218 14:44, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo metro lausanne.jpg

[edit]

Image:Logo metro lausanne.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I am thinking about a move for this article from it's current home at Lausanne Metro to Lausanne Métro. Given this is an article about a system in a French-speaking area, whose logo includes the word "métro", I think this is a clear reason, and has precedent with Paris Métro. If the logo didn't include the "é", perhaps WP:UCN guidelines would suggest the Anglicised version instead. I will check back for replies and, plan to move it by the end of the month if there's no objections. --Peeky44 What's on your mind? 22:02, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are you just fussing about the accent, or do you intend to improve the article as well? And what do you want to do with the Métro Lausanne–Ouchy article? Sw2nd (talk) 23:32, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have improved the article (albeit not for a while now), as you would see if you look at the edit history. Please, Assume Good Faith. I am interested in making Wikipedia as good as possible, from accurate text to good representative media and appropriate names. To me it is about the whole. As far as the Métro Lausanne–Ouchy is concerned, that article's main problem is the lack of inline citations and not having enough sources. --Peeky44 What's on your mind? 14:22, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inches are Not a Measure of Time

[edit]

The table in section 2.2.2 gives the time stopped at a station in Inches. Please correct this. Dr. British12 (talk) 12:33, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Correct stylization of Lausanne metro line designations

[edit]

The operator of Lausanne's metro system uses lower case to designate the m1 and m2 lines. The entry was corrected to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.132.96.152 (talk) 10:09, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
