Pronunciation?

[edit]

How is Langlois pronounced? Lang-lois? Lang-loise (rhyming with noise)? Lang-lwah? Or something else? 108.246.205.134 (talk) 01:05, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it's Lang-loy but we need a reliable source. Valfontis (talk) 19:18, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I found two seemingly reliable sources, though verifying they are fact checked is difficult online. I suspect they are well fact checked by residents. The second source acknowledges many mispronunciations, and the first calls you a tourist.  :-) —EncMstr (talk) 21:49, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ha ha. I learned that from a Bandon resident, accompanied by some smack-talking that need not be repeated here, so I suppose it should be taken with a grain of salt! Valfontis (talk) 21:58, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have audio from real Lanlgois folk pronouncing the name of the town.. will try to figure out how to upload ~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ascii122 (talkcontribs) 05:03, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Weather record?

[edit]

It's mentioned here as the wettest place in the contiguous United States;

Yes, it is located in the midst of the dark area on this map. That also says Portland is #3 of large cities with most days of rain and that Laurel Mountain (Oregon) is #2 wettest average. Since blog appears in your URL, it could be weak as a reliable source, but surely the source of that comment might be authoritative. —EncMstr (talk) 16:21, 6 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
