Conjectured Lake?
[edit]The coordinates given, 6°S 27°E / 6°S 27°E, are in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but a long way from any large lake. Is this lake a Conjectured Lake from tales, and maybe a fictional lake based on the Great Lakes of the African Rift?--Dthomsen8 (talk) 21:49, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- It is a conjectured lake based on stories from travelers, a sort of composite of lakes Nyasa, Tanganyika and Victoria. The coordinates roughly correspond to the center of the huge lake or inland sea on the sketch map drawn by the coastal missionaries. Aymatth2 (talk) 22:21, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
