Cleaned up?

[edit]

This article had a cleanup request attached to it for four months. I just removed a jargon-heavy two paragraphs in the lead section (this should maybe be put back as a separate section). I added a reference to the Newsweek list, and added a big stop sign unreferenced-section template in the section about academic performance. Rolando (talk) 13:35, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-Distance from Orlando-

Previously the article had LBHS being 25 miles north of Orlando. That's about twice the actual distance, so I corrected that.

Guess what. Lake Brantley says the distance is 25 miles on its official website.

Mandy Moore

[edit]

Multiple people have tried to add Mandy Moore to the list of notable students that went to LBHS. She went to Bishop Moore. Mikeliveshere 05:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's because anyone that has attended the school while she was popular has heard the story. In actuality she attended both Lake Brantley and withdrew from Bishop Moore opting for a tutor/correspondence. 72.189.11.213 14:35, 26 August 2007 (UTC}

The section is noted as "Notable Alumni"; she did not graduate from Lake Brantley.

She does not have to have graduated to be listed in the Alumni section, but there does have to be a source supporting the claim that she attended. Her article does not have such a source, and does not mention this school. Meters (talk) 00:30, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Distance from Orlando

[edit]

If you want to see that LBHS is in fact roughly 12-13 miles from Orlando, just look at google maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=Orlando,+FL&daddr=991+Sand+Lake+Rd,+32714&layer=&ie=UTF8&sll=28.60924,-81.398735&sspn=0.158237,0.217323

Looks like the "official website" needs to be corrected as well! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.185.200.21 (talk) 07:59, 8 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The "Official" LBHS website

[edit]

In regards to the official LBHS website, it is rarely updated save the front page, which functions as a sort of bulletin board for important dates, summer reading, and various links. The entire website has a notorious reputation for being useless at the school as it is, which is why the 25 miles error has probably been there for years now.

Added a Cleanup Tag

[edit]

I added a cleanup tag to the page. MastaFighta (talk) 06:20, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
