The result of the move request was: Moved to La Trinitaria (Dominican Republic). EdJohnston (talk) 17:33, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
Trinitaria (Haiti) → Trinitaria (Dominican Republic) – La Trinitaria is the secret society responsible for the independence of the Dominican Republic from Haiti, and it is a subject most commonly related to Dominican history. As such the disambiguating parenthetical should not refer to "Haiti", but rather to "Dominican Republic" or at the very least "Hispaniola". Google Book results for "Trinitaria" yield almost exclusively books relating to Dominican history and are predominantly in Spanish (language of the Dominican Republic), while none are in French (language of Haiti)[1]. Google results similarly refer to Trinitaria as a Dominican history subject [2]. Encyclopedia Britannica uses the classifier "Dominican Republic" for their Trinitaria article [3], and the Trinitaria is covered by Dominican educational websites [4].

- Support Yes, that's more recognizable. I also considered Trinitaria (Hispaniola), but this seems a bit obtuse. --BDD (talk) 18:55, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support I am the original creator of the article and originally had it as La Trinitaria, which may be vague, then came User CrazyAces489 and renamed it. To be honest I wasn't entirely sure of the motive but whatever. Trinitaria (Dominican Republic) or La Trinitaria (Dominican Republic) is much more preferred.--El Mayimbe (La Trinitaria) 06:39, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Neutral but Supports a move I think User talk:El Mayimbe had it right with La Trinitaria and believe it is important for it to go back to that name. Right now, that page is occupied with only a redirect to Trinitaria. I think that redirect should be removed and have this article moved back to La Trinitaria. The only other La Trinitaria hails from Mexico under La Trinitaria, Chiapas hence the reason for the exact place after La Trinitaria. Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Hispaniola are all inaccurate anyway. This is important enough to have its own page. It should have never been moved from its creation.
