Greetings
[edit]I am looking forward to reviewing this article. Let me know if you're available to work on improving this article. I generally prefer to resolve reviews within 1-2 weeks. I read the comments fro GA1 review, and think this is very close to being a GA.
- Shushugah, everything thus far has been answered. Thanks! MyCatIsAChonk (talk) (not me) (also not me) (still no) 01:24, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
Miscellaneous
[edit]- Consistent styling of newspaper/press publications, please italicize CNET like the other publications.
- Done Italics. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:07, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Mention that Abby Stein read it from Hebrew Wikipedia and make it explicit in the lede that this is about multiple language editions of Wikipedia, not just English Wikipedia.
- Added. MyCatIsAChonk (talk) (not me) (also not me) (still no) 01:23, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
- The style guidelines on identity is linking to MOS:ID rather than internal Wikilink. While WP:ELMAYBE says it can be linked, it shouldn't be inline
- If I understand you correctly, it's been fixed- the wikilink was changed from the redirect to a direct link. MyCatIsAChonk (talk) (not me) (also not me) (still no) 01:23, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
- @MyCatIsAChonk it is not quite what I meant. Wikilinks inside article namespace should only refer to other existing articles. The MOS:ID is an external link, in that it is from another namespace. I won't die on this hill, since it is useful as is. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 01:07, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
- I am not convinced why Jess Wade is mentioned in Wikimedia movement, and that she makes a daily article about different marginalised figures has to do with it.
- Wade is mentioned because it says this in the Pride.com article: "Last year, Dr. Jess Wade of Imperial College London made it her mission to help balance out the content on Wikipedia. Every day in 2018, she wrote at least one Wikipedia page dedicated to a woman, person of color, or LGBTQ individual in science in the hopes to combat the lack of diversity seen on the site, which is especially poor in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)." That is the reason. She is one of the only ones on List of Wikipedia people who has a verified source showing that she has created LGBTQ+ articles (some others have created such articles, but there are no verified sources about it). Hence, it makes sense she is included. Historyday01 (talk) 22:08, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- An external link at bottom should be made to Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies
- Hope this is what you had in mind. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:10, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Checks
[edit]- Images are all freely licensed, relevant and the captions make sense
- Like Thanks ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:12, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Article is well written, doesn't go off topic and covers broadly with WP:GLOBAL coverage.

Spot checking sources
[edit]- Confirmed NBC source about Abby Stein.[1]
- While verifying, I was surprised by the pages cited, since after page 70 is images that are not used. Still the entire article is short, but I would love individual pages where possible using Template:Rp but this is not a requirement, just a suggestion. Otherwise at least trim the page range to 61-70.[2]
- Cut page range down. MyCatIsAChonk (talk) (not me) (also not me) (still no) 01:19, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- The claims made in[3] are accurate. I would also specifically mention the interesting fact that the first LGBT Wikipedia project Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies was created on English Wikipedia in 2006 and that the project exists in dozens of language editions today.
- The fact about its existence on many language editions is mentioned in para 2 of "Wikimedia movement": WikiProject LGBT studies,[b] which works to create and enhance articles on LGBT topics, is present on 28 Wikipedias, as of 2023.
