Removed the "northwestern Russia" term, since duh, it is Finland, not Russia. --Snowgrouse 16:37, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is not very often mentioned in Finland but part of that fell is in russia. The fell itself is so close to the border that a permission from the boarder guard must be asked to visit it.

The article Santa Claus states that it is Father Christmas who lives in Korvatunturi, not Santa Claus. --MikkoMMM (talk) 14:33, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The belief that Father Christmas lives in Korvatunturi isn't really folklore, but originates from 1927 and a radio show of "Markus-setä". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.76.11.118 (talk) 15:14, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Location on map completely wrong

[edit]

The location shown on the new map is completely wrong. Compare the original revision with the current revision. Korvatunturi is supposed to be near the border to Russia, not in the middle of Lapland. But I don't know how to fix this. JIP | Talk 20:19, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
