[edit]Kiratarjuneeya is group of poems seperated by a sanskrit poet Bharavi, from Mahabharata. According to him, Arjuna fought with Shiva on Indrakila at the banks of river Bhagiratha (Ganga). But in telugu translation by Srinadha, the fight took place on a hill on the banks of Krishna river. In karnataka, Phalkigundu is believed to be Indrakil hill. In Indonesia, there is a mountain called mount indrakil. Bharavi did not really mention Vijayawada in Kiratarjuneeya. According to him, the hill is at the banks of banks of river ganga.
