Unfortunately there seem to be some factual problems with this article. The High Level Bridge never had the claimed four tracks across it - only three, later reduced to two. And if the number of tracks across the King Edward VII bridge was reduced from four to three in 1959, when was the fourth track restored? It must surely have been before it was electrified in 1990? Unfortunately the Evening Chronicle article that much of the article appears to have been copied from does not look very reliable and could do with some citations itself. It would be particularly good to have a proper citation for the claim that, "the spaces between the tracks have occasionally proved to be too narrow for some modern, high-speed trains". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.169.17.163 (talk) 21:10, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
