Outdated Article

[edit]

It is an outdated Article. Khyber train safari is suspended since 2006 due to damaged of track and railway bridges by flood. It is still suspended till now. It is the story of past. Adnanrail (talk) 14:51, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Khyber Steam Safari, maybe move

[edit]

This article was cut & paste moved to Khyber Steam Safari which is not the proper way, please see Wikipedia:Moving a page. I might support moving the page if there is reliable sources that show that Khyber Steam Safari is the same as Khyber train safari. If they are separate entities I think that this article should be left as it is, but with an addition about Khyber Steam Safari as a separate train using the same route. (If that is the case)Sjö (talk) 14:36, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't notice until now that source #1 (Khyber pass railway) calls this train the Khyber Steam Safari. That's a good reason to move the article to that title, but I think the relation between the old and the new train first has to be made clear. Sjö (talk) 06:00, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Sjö: It was indeed called the Khyber Steam Safari as highlighted by this Pakistan Tourism webpage [1]. Secondly, the steam safari has restarted, but on a new route [2] and is actually called Khyber train safari [3]. What I will do is make a new article called Khyber Steam Safari for the old train and edit this article to reflect the current train service. I will make the necessary edits and provide sources. Kindly consider my edits. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 13:18, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Khyber Train Safari vs Khyber Pass Railway

[edit]

There should be two separate articles. The first one (Train Safari) describes the actually train itself as would other List of named passenger trains of Pakistan. The second one (Khyber Pass Railway) should describe the history of the actual railway and proposed revival and extension to Afghanistan, as described under Railway lines in Pakistan. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 12:18, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
