Draft article seems to check out
Hey @RHaworth:, I wanted to inform you that Draft:Keemstar has been made in AfC, and it seems to meet notability/verifiability standards for an article. However, there is Creation Protection on the article as of now. If you could, would you mind checking out the draft and determining whether it should go into mainspace? Naturally it would have to have semi-protection or extended-confirmed protection, but the article looks good to me as it is written in draftspace. Thanks, Utopes (talk) 23:25, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
- Protection reduced - I can see why some protection may be still needed! Previous versions were deleted more because nobody seemed capable of writing a proper article rather than for lack of notability. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:12, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

Can someone put the line "He was name-dropped in Etika's last video before his suicide, with Etika saying "Keemstar, I wish you the best."" back into the article in the 'Personal Life' section, using https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2019/06/25/youtuber-etika-found-dead-east-river-following-series-erratic-videos-police-confrontations/ as the citation? Meant to use that as the citation but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Also, I'm very glad this article got created! Hopefully I'll be able to make more articles soon. And another thing, could someone change the link to MrBeast's twitter to a link to Keemstar's twitter? I linked the wrong person by mistake. Thanks! CarterLennon (talk) 23:11, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
Protection
I have been asked to explain why I protected this article. Utopes suggested it above and, given the troubled histories of all three titles: Keemstar, DramaAlert and Daniel Keem, I fully agreed. If another admin feels that a lower level of protection is appropriate, I have no objection to their changing it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:26, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

Bias in recent updates
Hello everyone!! When reading over this page, I have come across a few recent updates on this page which come across as biased, as well as very informal. Upon looking over the pages edit history, it seems that all of these improper edits have been made by the user “Thursby16” who I believe is using this Wikipedia page to promote their personal opinions. Specifically in the section describing Keem’s use of the n word, which he renamed to “racism against Alex” as well as the newly added section regarding the “Manchester bombing victim mocking,” which is a lengthy section regarding an otherwise minor controversy that has received minimal attention on the internet. The user states that Keem “showed support to ISIS and Islamic Extremism” and was “...openly mocking the 2017 Manchester Ariana Grande Terror Attack Victims, and wished someone was also a victim of it. The person who they wished was a victim of the terror attack, was also a big Ariana Grande fan from Manchester,” in which improper grammar is used repeatedly (calling the person a “big Ariana Grande fan” is very informal). The person then described the backlash from the situation as “incredible” which is, again, not true, as the controversy was mostly overshadowed by other discussions regarding the presidential election, and is small in size compared to Keemstars other controversies. All in all, I believe that this person is using Wikipedia as a soapbox to present their biased opinions on Keemstar, and I am suggesting a removal of these edits in order to keep the page as balanced and bias-free as possible. - Hey there, I would say that I agree with you. I do think the article is biased and I'll solve the issues. In addition, the Manchester terror attack situation sourced a deleted tweet. I can find no news article of this so I will remove it completely.Haris920 (talk) 15:26, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

The controversies say nothing about his internet feud with Basherverse, the Minecraft Youtuber, Fouseytube, LeafyisHere. I think there is also a section needed for his goods in the community. For instance, when he helped Turkey Tom, Nicholas DeOrio, and many others get their monetization back on the platform. 100.17.2.2 (talk) 15:48, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Controversies: On March 2021, Keemstar has once again been under fire for partaking in the creation of a “diss track” that features unauthorized use of late SHINee vocalist Kim Jonghyun. The lyrics poke fun at idols within the industry, mentioning mental health problems including depression, suicide, and eating disorders. The video was posted on YouTube and has been a source of discomfort amongst fans and non-fans of Keemstar alike. Despite numerous attempts at educating and explaining the hypocrisy of Keemstar’s tweets defending his actions of belittling mental health, he has continued to reveal past tweets that make fun of sexual harrassment, abuse, and homosexuality. As of now, he has yet to apologize for his actions and continues to blame others and refuse to take responsibility for the course of his actions. 45.49.205.174 (talk) 06:52, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Not done: firstly, you'd need a reliable source for the controversy to accompany this addition, especially given the article is a biography of a living person. Secondly, that retelling of events doesn't appear particularly neutral, especially statements like "As of now, he has yet to apologize for his actions and continues to blame others and refuse to take responsibility for the course of his actions." --Volteer1 (talk) 09:28, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
Gaming Projects Edit Request
In 2011 Keemstar was heavily involved with the promotion of FortressCraft, a video game styled after Minecraft. [1]
Keemstar secured the following players for the 2018 Realm Royal tournament without additional compensation: Tyler "Ninja" Belvins, Michael "shroud" Grzesiek, Summit1g, NoahJ456, JoshOGJack "CouRage" Dunlop, Ben "DrLupo" Lupo and many other well-known content creators and Realm Royale players who pulled 110,561 average viewers. In order to show the developer's appreciation for the work that KEEMSTAR had done to build the competitive scene of Realm Royale, Hi-Rez Studios created a personalized gnome skin that players can use when they are first defeated in a Realm Royale match. Another skin based on KEEMSTAR was added in-game on July 31, 2018.[2]
In 2018 Keemstar partnered with UMG for first 100K Creative Destruction Tournament featuring Tfue" Tenney of FaZe Clan, Daequan "daequan" Loco of Team SoloMid, YouTuber Vikram "Vikkstar123" Barn, Twitch streamer Jaryd "Summit1g" Lazar and many other professional Fortnite players and content creators.[3]
UMG Friday Fortnite began in 2019 and was a partnership between UMG and KEEMSTAR. KEEMSTAR was able to assemble and organize 32 team brackets for seven weeks straight on the UMG platform that routinely sees 64 of the biggest personalities from Twitch and YouTube and professional Fortnite players compete to collect the most kills with a duos teammate over a two-match span in a squads match with their opponent. Twitch superstars, such as Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Dr DisRespect, NICKMERCS, and professional Fortnite players, such as Ali "Myth" Kabbani, Hamlinz and Daequan of Team SoloMid and Turner "Tfue" Tenney and Dennis "Cloak" Lepore of FaZe Clan, to YouTube giants, such as Romanatwood, NoahJ456, Vikkstar123, and countless other competitors through the weeks, the KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite UMG Tournament has brought together dozens of notable and impressive players in the gaming community together to compete for thousands of dollars on a weekly basis. Also in 2019 was Keemstar’s Minecraft Monday. Keemstar opted to bring in big names who could attract huge viewerships, such as Fortnite superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Blevins alone brought in nearly one million viewers on Twitch for that first week. On week two, there was another megaton: Keemstar had convinced YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg to participate in the event alongside beauty guru James Charles. Suddenly, nearly every big name on YouTube and Twitch was playing Mojang’s sandbox game. Minecraft became a spectacle once again with over 90,000 unique viewers for the tournament. [1]

Keemstar's family
Hi, I've heard rumors about Keemstar losing custody of his daughter amidst rumors of him using suggestive photos of her for profit but I don't see anything about that on here. Does anyone have a source? Interviews with his ex or court records or anything? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:A10E:BE12:CD86:222B:9F1F:F469 (talk) 05:30, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- @2407:7000:A10E:BE12:CD86:222B:9F1F:F469:, the best place to ask that would be the wp:reference desk. For what it's worth however, it's important to note that Twitter and the like are not considered wp:Reliable sources, and as such, rumours from there must not be repeated on the project. Quality of sources
As it stands, this article is pretty reliant on some pretty low-quality sources, that frankly should not be used in a BLP article. Some examples include [1] (discouraged per wp:RSP - its a syndicated source with user-generated content), [2] (we the unicorns is a defunct user-generated wiki about youtubers), [3] (the blog of a company selling food products (?) ). I will be removing these sources, unless anyone has any object.

"In February 2011, Keem promoted FortressCraft, a game coming to Xbox Live essentially a clone of Minecraft, Keem contacted the Indie developer and made a deal with him and took part-ownership of the game."
This sentence runs on for too long. "essentially a clone of Minecraft" is irrelevant and should be removed from the sentence, and the sentence should be split in two:
