Really?

[edit]

I took the liberty of reverting the edit made 4/22/09, as it was irrelevant. One group of unruly campers at one site during one weekend is not important enough for mention. Whateverlolawants (talk) 07:03, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 21 November 2022

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved to KOA. Consensus arrived at KOA as the title to move the article to on basis of primary topic and page views satisfying TLA move. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 13:27, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kampgrounds of AmericaKOA (campgrounds) – "KOA" seems to be the WP:COMMONNAME. Sources like this refer to the company as "KOA", not "Kampgrounds of America", and their website refers to them as just "KOA" as well. Relisting comment: Thoughts on the primary-topic question? Extraordinary Writ (talk) 04:39, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I support moving it to just KOA, as it clearly seems to be the WP:PRIMARY topic and the only article that exactly uses the letters "KOA" in all caps without any other terms attached. @Old Naval Rooftops: @BarrelProof: what do you say? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 03:13, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a little worried about ambiguity with the Japanese company and the radio station, and there is a general reluctance on Wikipedia to designate primary topics for TLAs, but the page views do show this topic as pretty dominant for "KOA". I do not object. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:19, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I agree that we rightly should have a very high threshold for any TLA being primary. I think this meets it though. -- Netoholic @ 20:45, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
