Kamiakin redirect should be separate article

[edit]

I would have expected one of KHS's students to write a bio of their namesake, since the HS has an article. Kamiakin is a significant figure in Native American history as well as that of the Oregon Country/Washington Territory. I might write the bio myself, although I'm from "the other side of the line" (that other country north from you) and don't know so much about the Yakima War; there might need to be a Kamiakin disambig page, too, as I think there are other places/things named after him.Skookum1 18:04, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a stub article... and it really is quite stubby. Making Chief Kamiakin article more full would be an excellent class project! Please do consider. CJLippert 19:47, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've been beefing up the Chief Kamiakin article for some time, but there are a lot of other sources that could result in a very lengthy and interesting biography. Come on Kamiakin students! Get to work! -- Quartermaster (talk) 14:38, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We're not really the "working" type. 66.189.177.28 (talk) 05:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
