Hojo -> Sane
[edit]About time to change the title of the page, no? Arguably, more people know her as Sane at this point. AM Woody (talk) 12:03, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
I don't think the title can be changed, page needs to be moved Wikimanzi (talk) 01:08, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Kairi Hojo → Kairi Sane – Now NXT Women's champion, Kairi Sane will quickly, if not already, become the WP:COMMONNAME for Subject, at least among Western audiences. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 16:24, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support - Kairi Hojo is now more well-known as Kairi Sane. Hansen SebastianTalk 11:45, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. It's the same deal as the Andrade Cien Almas page move, in that her more significant success has happened in a different promotion under the Hojo ring name. Best wait until she moves to the main roster. APM (talk) 21:33, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Kairi Sane → Kairi (wrestler) – The current ring name Kairi passes WP:PWBIO ("Have appeared consistently over the course of 3 months or held a championship for a combined reign of 30 days"). She is IWGP Women's Champion for 40+ days and she wrestles as Kairi since March 2022. Her last notable appearance as Kairi Sane was in July 2020. Kairi has become her common name in PW sources. - Comment: The project page you cite in the first sentence is an essay, and one about notability to boot. I'm not sure what bearing that has on a discussion about article titles. WP:AT is policy and it strongly suggests that a) parenthetical disambiguation is intended to be a last resort, not a first resort, and b) a naturally-disambiguated title should be favored over a parenthetically-disambiguated title even when the former is not quite as prevalent. Your rationale appears to parrot the ongoing obsession some people have with current events and headlines. WP:NOT is also policy and it states in part that we're not a news site and we're here to reflect enduring notability. Additionally, "PW sources" are facing increasing scrutiny from the community at large, including a very recent mention at ANI. Giving weight to a bunch of fanboy websites which are only concerned about pushing the current product is a recipe for disaster. - Oppose, prefer natural disambiguation (cf Big Van Vader and Crash Holly). McPhail (talk) 14:26, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Too Early to Change
[edit]Currently, the page has been changed to indicate that she is with the WWE, however, this is only a rumor (albeit one by a trusted source), thus we should not say that she is currently on the WWE roster 73.191.188.162 (talk) 03:48, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
