Fireman / Engineer

[edit]

The fireman driving the train was tired as he had finished his previous shift at 06:05 in the morning and had not slept well at the provided facilities at Tampere. Additionally, the engineer had begun brewing coffee just before arriving at Jyväskylä

This was in 1998 (no steam engine), and it was the assisting crew member making coffee. So "Fireman" for the engine driver, and "Engineer" for his assistant seems a bit odd. KlasHass (talk) 19:30, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The terms were from the investigation report, the engineer being driver number 1 (driving from Turku to Jämsä) and the fireman being driver number 2 (driving between Jämsä and Jyväskylä). Off course, they can be modified in the text in some way. --Yaamboo (talk) 07:03, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
