the 2nd part of this article is, in my view, largely irrelevant and incomprehensible. iv tagged it, but i have no idea what the other wikipedian was trying to say, and so iv left it in, in case it makes sense to someone else

Fair use rationale for Image:Jumpman logo.jpg
Image:Jumpman logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Contradiction?
The article claims that the Jumpman logo accompanied all Jordan merchandise starting in 1985, but the logo wasn't on Air Jordans until 1988. I know the latter is true. I'm not sure if the former is also true, or if maybe the writer meant that every time Nike used the word "Jordan" (on a poster, t-shirt, etc.) it included the symbol. If that's the case, it could use a little clarification. I'm just not sure which is correct. Kafziel Complaint Department: Please take a number 19:33, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- This article does not contradict itself and can be taken off the list of self contradicting articles. It refers to the Jumpman logo being on Jordan branded Nike products since 1985, but also states that it wasn't on the shoes until 1988. This does not contradict itself. - Air Jordans are Jordan branded Nike products. Probably the most famous Jordan-branded Nike product of all time. And they didn't have the logo until 1988. Kafziel Complaint Department: Please take a number 05:23, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- While the third reference appears to support the claim for the Jumpman, the second reference, to which the claim for Jumpman always accompanying Jordan products must be ascribed, does not seem to support this claim. Therefore, this claim should be erased and abandoned untila more reliable source with appropriate information. Or just take it out forever. Unless it is really relevant to the article, it doesn't need to be there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RayquazaDialgaWeird2210 (talk • contribs) 23:46, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
