Help needed

Names

Indonesian

i am a fan of The legendary Twins. i have a novel of this "The legendary twins" translated into indonesian language and manhua art by Ho Ce Wen which titled "The Impeccable Twins". and i have found that the names used here are not correct.

examples :

Yiu Yet , should be Yao Yue

Yin Nam Tien , should be Yan Nan Thian

Hau Mu Que, should be Hoa Wu Que

Kong Fung, should be Jiang Feng

Cantonese names

for cantonesse names (i think its cantonesse) they should be

Yiu Yet = Kiau Goat

Xiao Yu Erl = Siau Hi Ji

Yin Nam Tien = Yan Lam Thian

Hau Mu Que = Hoa Bu Koat

Kong Fung = Kang Hong

i'm missing some names here, so i havent edit anything in the article.

I'm sure all versions of the names are correct, the thing is there are two popular methods for tranliterating Chinese (Pinyin and Wade-Giles a host of other systems, than there is the rough and ready system used by myself and other cantonese speakers to get Cantonese sounding names (which sound quite different from Mandarin). I'm sure the tranliteration used in an Indonesian manhua would follow the normal Indonesian pronounciation of Roman characters to produce sounds similar to that of spoken Mandarin. Whatever system is used (and I think Pinyin is the default Wikipedia preference) the same system should be used for the same character in each version.KTo288 09:07, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done the article as it stands encompasses all the on screen versions and the book that I know of, I don't think that there is enough to have seperate articles for each, but if enough material can be found and/or created there is nothing to stop the creationof such articles in the future.KTo288 09:07, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
