Assamese Jolpan → Jolpan – "Assamese" not needed (and no caps needed either). There is only one article on jolpan. — AjaxSmack 04:01, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose – Jolpan seems to just be a word for snacks. The article is on the ones in Assam. Precision is helpful. Dicklyon (talk) 06:04, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- Then why is there no other article on jolpan? If jolpan means snacks, should it redirect to snacks? — AjaxSmack 20:27, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- Comment. If the word is an Assamese language word, or if it used only in the Assam state, then "Assamese" is unnecessary and redundant. •••Life of Riley (T–C) 22:28, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- P.S. Ajax, could you come up with a less obtrusive signature? Your signature leaves big dark ink-splotches all over the page. •••Life of Riley (T–C) 22:28, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- Comment it seems there is also Bengali jolpan (not surprising when the languages are cognate and there are plenty of Assamese in Kolkata), there's also disambiguation with a less common spelling Korean ku jol pan. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:51, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- Support per nom and Life of Riley and WP:PRECISION. The current title is consistent with English snacks or Japanese sukiyaki or Ukranian borscht instead of snacks, sukiyaki, and borscht. -- JHunterJ (talk) 18:19, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
