Requested Move
[edit]- Joliet (Amtrak station) → Union Station (Joliet) —(Discuss)— The station was originally a Union Station, and should retain that name with Joliet (Amtrak Station) being redirected. —DanTD 01:18, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think a move is a good idea. What about Joliet Union Station, which appears to be the station's own name for itself (http://www.jolietunionstation.com/)? Thanks. Bigturtle 01:29, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Originally, I had some doubts about the idea, but I'm willing to consider it. ---- DanTD 00:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Station Closed
[edit]This station is now (temporarily??) closed due to the construction of the new Joliet Transportation Center. That new center will open in late 2016. The article should probably be updated to reflect the fact that passenger service is now provided at two other temporary stations (one for Amtrak, one for Metra). - Thanks for the good suggestion. See Joliet Transportation Center.Bigturtle (talk) 00:04, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Should Joliet Transportation Center be considered a new station, or just a reconstruction of this station? Do they truly merit separate articles?
[edit]They are roughy the same station, and are in the same location. Should they merit two different articles? Many stations that were rebuilt merit only one article for the previous and current iterations, such as the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Millennium Station.
