[edit]I know Jochen is pretty notable as an Atari demoscene musician, but as it stands, the article doesn't really assert notability, and might be nominated for deletion.. again. --Vossanova 17:25, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes Jochen, aka Mad Max should be in here... --Beru7 19:28, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
ADSR envelopes
[edit]The Atari ST sound hardware had this feature. Our own article on General Instrument AY-3-8910 even states this. Why is it insisted in this article that it did not? - Rainwarrior (talk) 04:33, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- The Atari ST used the YM2149F as far as I'm aware. Whilst they are similar there are differences, one of which is the envelopes. The ADSR envelopes were simulated in software by some programmers, given the additional processing power of the 68000 based Atari ST versus the mostly 8-bit systems that used it previously.
- The difference between the chips can be heard on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyzlF018k-I 149.107.65.50 (talk) 09:54, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
