Alternate romanizations
[edit]Is there a location in Wikipedia to add alternate romanizations for Chinese place names? For example, Jiujiang in the traditional French school romanization would be Kiou Kiang (and there are also alternates - Long-Tcheou seems to have been popular.)
- You can list those (esp. those for other languages) at the Wikidata entry for the city. The more important can be listed here but should be cited if they aren't pinyin, Wade-Giles, or postal map romanizations. — LlywelynII 05:00, 22 June 2024 (UTC)

This map or this one of the 19th century concession and the Jiujiang Bund from these copies or from larger better scans. They're both well within the public domain at this point and should be placed in Category:Maps of Jiujiang at Wikimedia Commons. One or both should also be included via thumbnail in the article's history section. There's also more here and here and here. — LlywelynII 05:00, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
