"cynical and possibly actually evil"
[edit]This is kind of a misquote. The original source is an episode of Chain Reaction (radio) in which Moore is interviewed by Stewart Lee and he doesn't call the strip itself "cynical and possibly actually evil"; he says that the effect writing strips like this had on Wagner was to turn him cynical and possibly evil. It's also clear in the original context, but not so much in the New Statesman piece, and certainly not in the bare quote here, that Moore approves of this, calling the resulting strip "quite funny" and attributing the success of 2000 AD to this mindset. 92.30.134.89 (talk) 14:16, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
