A newspaper article from the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat (May 19, 1977) says that his name is Jesse Holifield. That's probably correct, as his niece Amber Holifield mentioned his death on her facebook page when he died. His mother's name in the same article was listed as Mary Cox.

From the 1950 census, his parents are Cleveland and Mary Louise Holifield. His family is in Johnstown PA, where his father is employed in the steel industry. His autobiography lists his siblings: Cleveland Jr., Ben, James, Lieutenant, Robert, and Patricia.Stembark (talk) 18:03, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
