Horns were used

Son Volt released a new, 14-song album, 'The Search', in March 2007 on Transmit Sound/Legacy. The album marked a stretching out musically for Son Volt because horns were used.

I have not heard this record, so I will reserve judgement regarding the use of horns. Jay's genius lies in the complexity he layers onto an inherently simple music form. I can't imagine I will agree that a mere change in instrumentation constitutes "a stretching out".

Has the relationship, or lack thereof, between Jay and Jeff been wiki'd? I'll document if not. Genac 13:36, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
