[edit]

I'm about to remove this source and the statement based on it . It is essential to use reliable sources or even WP:Suggested sources for wp:BLP -even if the sources appear correct. JRPG (talk) 15:05, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Christine Hewitt

[edit]

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's The World at One today, restaurant manager David Goulding said he had been emailed by Hewitt with a request for an inflated invoice. He had at first agreed, but had later changed his mind when he realised that the event was "sponsored" by the European Parliament, i.e. the UK tax-payer. He did not explain exactly how or when the journalists from The Sun became involved. One wonders why he didn't simply say to Hewiit "No, sorry, I've changed my mind." Perhaps he has "political scruples" but not moral ones? Martinevans123 (talk) 17:17, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Odd statement and reference gone

[edit]

The reference for the following statement has now disappeared:

In the aftermath of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, Atkinson called for death penalty for those convicted of suicide bombing.[26]
