Jan Berry solo

Shouldn't this article mention the solo work of Jan Berry? Berry recorded several solo tracks in the 1960s and 1970s. He also released a couple of solo albums as well. I think this extra information would greatly enhance the article. -Karen Lackey, March 9, 2007

Karen, Jan Berry's solo career would be better served by being displayed on a page for "Jan Berry" (and not "Jan & Dean"). Currently, the Jan Berry page is being redirected to the Jan & Dean Page . . . but that could probably be changed. Sparrow91 20:47, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jan Berry's auto accident

Action Jackson IV - No, Jan Berry's auto accident did not happen on any kind of real "Dead Man's Curve." The accident occurred on Whittier Dr. in Beverly Hills (not the area of Sunset Blvd. that was popularly known as "Dead Man's Curve" . . . and not to be confused with Whittier Blvd.). I wonder why there is no mention of Dean's involvement in the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra jr. You would think that would be an important part of his history.

Personal life

What kind of assininity is the "but were they gay" statement.

Both Dean and Jan were married, Dean has 2 children, and Jan fathered a child in 1959 with Jeanette Anderson.

Some people just have a need to post the most ridiculous and libelous gossip possible.

Perhaps the poster is having trouble reconciling his own sexuality.

Lip synching

Wasn't there a lip synching scandal when Jan & Dean got back together after Jan's crash?

Also, on IMDB for the Laurel & Hardy short "Laughing Gravy", someone mentioned that Dean had a solo project called "Laughing Gravy". According to the IMDB poster, Dean put out at least two 45s, one called "The Snow on Laughing Gravy's Face". Correction

I've removed the statement that "White Tennis Sneakers" was a hit in 1960 as, according to the discography contained in this very article, not only wasn't it a hit, it wasn't even an A side ! Andrew G. Doe (talk) 09:03, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Something is wrong

Something is REALLY wrong- This article doesn't mention that these two kidnapped Frank Sinatra jr. and held him for ransom. Their sound was also copied from the Beachboys. Dean Torrence/Kittyhawk graphics

I created categories Category:Album covers by Dean Torrence and Category:Albums with cover art by Dean Torrence, as he won a grammy for one cover. anyone else think that each artist should have their own page? they werent siamese twins after all.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 04:34, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Change in production values

Some mention should be made in the production value of Jan and Dean's early stuff as compared to their stuff starting with Surf City and ending around the time of Jan's car accident. Was it because they got to know Brian Wilson and from him got access to The Wrecking Crew? Clarification needed

the statements that jan was an organ donor and that his body was cremated can appear contradictory. i assume, but am not certain, that the cremation was after organ harvesting. clarification is called for.Toyokuni3 (talk) 21:44, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jan's son?

My understanding is that Jan had a son, Stevie. See, for example, [1]: Steven Grant Berry was born February 24, 1959, to Jan Berry and his girlfriend Jeanette Andersen. Stevie was raised as one of Jan’s siblings, but as an adult he learned the truth about his identity. Sorry, got too much going in IRL to look for RS, but wanted to drop a token here about it.
