Jewish Origin?

Is it usual to express someone's religious background, or ethnic background in brackets right after the use of their name? As is this article's 'Simmons (Jewish Orgin) was born in Detroit, Michigan', spelled incorrectly too. I suspect that it is not, and that it being the chosen format here may have something to do with one of the actors prominent roles. Any one have an opinion before I remove it? Portal 2

Simmons will be appearing in Portal 2, playing Cave Johnson, Aperture Science's founder and former president, who died long before the events of the first game: http://pc.ign.com/articles/115/1155075p1.html Footage from PAX East can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r7i89DdnC8. His segment begins at 07:20 and continues all the way to the end. Note to any fans of the game - this video has some some pretty big spoilers. 85.186.179.210 (talk) 19:47, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

His views on video game voice acting

Just noting a nice reference where he comments on doing video games: "[video games] are one of the new frontiers for actors"

Voice Work

Simmons is also the voice of Aperture CEO Cave Johnson in the video game Portal 2. This character does the level intro & outro chats in the 3rd major section of the game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chiba13 (talkcontribs) 06:01, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm just surprised that it hasn't been mentioned, though I had recently discovered that he had done the voice work for "Jack", the iconic mascot from the Jack in the Box advertisements. Sunblocksocks (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:28, 24 February 2012 (HST).

If you have a citation, you should add that information to the article. Rray (talk) 23:17, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

maybe the list should be split up better?

All the TV, games and film are stuck together in one list. Might be better to organise it into seperate lists. Govvy (talk) 11:57, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

lead is an awful mess

"He is best know for the following ten things" is a pretty confusing and sloppy way to construct a lead. The list should be trimmed and the more minor roles moved to the main body of the article. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:38, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

I agree. I will trim the lead a bit to reflect thisChagallophile (talk) 14:42, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

The Meddler.

Mr Simmons was in a film called The Meddler, a romantic comedy / family-angst film, shown at the Toronto Film Festival and the Tri-Becca Film Festival in 2015 and went into full release in 2016. He has a supporting role as the sweet, guitar-playing man who becomes Susan Sarandon's love (I guess he needed to rest his voice after Whiplash ^_^). https://tribecafilm.com/filmguide/archive/meddler-2016 Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 04:58, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Vandalism?

Child molester? No children? Spouse? Funny "born" name? Are the information correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.141.80.224 (talk) 08:24, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
