- ... that neuroscientist J. David Jentsch studies pathways in the brain that lead to addiction? "Jentsch explained that his team is not looking for the full biological profile of an addict that has already been altered by drug use. Rather, they are looking for the potential neural pathways that could lead a person toward addiction, beginning with their first consumption of a drug." source
- ALT1:... that the car of neuroscientist J. David Jentsch was firebombed by animal rights activists? "When Jentsch dashed to his bedroom window, he saw a terrifying sight: His 2006 Volvo was engulfed in flames. Someone had shoved a bomb underneath it." source

- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline and either hook could be used, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Can you please address the "citation needed" tag, or remove the claim, and then I will approve this. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:23, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Comments: first hook; The hook should be catchy, but isn’t: “ When you write the hook, please make it "hooky", that is, short, punchy, catchy, and likely to draw the readers in to wanting to read the article — as long as they don't misstate the article content.” See: WP:DYKHOOK. —> There are many scientist doing research in addictions. Alternative hook: Has it been proven it were animal activist destroying his car? SportsOlympic (talk) 16:13, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- Same source: "Two days later, in a "communiqué" riddled with typos and profanity posted on the Web, a shady group called the Animal Liberation Brigade took credit" - which, while not proven in a court of law, I think will do until there is a claim to the contrary. We've an article on them: Revolutionary Cells – Animal Liberation Brigade--GRuban (talk) 19:44, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Approving both hooks, but ALT1 is much more interesting than ALT0. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:17, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but the article has two "citation needed" tags and also needs a citation for his birthdate. Yoninah (talk) 19:44, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yoninah, I've supplied citations for the two tags plus the "better cite needed" one, and one of those (Jentsch's CV) also had his birthdate, so that's covered as well. I hope these were good enough sources for you; if not, by all means let me know and I'll see what I can find. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:08, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you, BlueMoonset, that's great. Restoring tick per Cwmhiraeth's review. Yoninah (talk) 21:16, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
