refimprove tag
[edit]Does anybody have any objections to removing the refimprove tag? Jerry G. Sweeton Jr. (talk) 02:25, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
Since there were no objections, I've removed the tag. KD5TVI (talk) 22:40, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

Does anybody have any objections to the new heading page ? talk 12:00, 7 July 2023(UTC) I have found an updated article that I added to the history page also. [[User talk: Zephyr2040| I added new heading such as Pros and Cons, Background information on Ion Plating and Companies. History was added and cited. --Zephyr2040 (talk) 03:04, 14 July 2023 (UTC) Does any have any more information on this topic with companies or application for pictures ?--Zephyr2040 (talk) 03:04, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
Merger Discussion
[edit]Request received to merge articles: Ion beam-assisted deposition into Ion plating; dated: June 2020. Proposer's Rationale: These two articles appear to refer to the same thing but I wanted to check with consensus before performing the merge as I'm not familiar with the nomenclature. Also ion plating has many other names like "ion assisted deposition" and "ion vapor deposition", and might it be possible that one of these is a more common name? -- AquaDTRS (talk) 19:21, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
IBAD is an sub-monolayer and monolayer growth technique typically for advanced materials such as semiconductors, through the inducement of surface defects. Ion plating is a macro technique, used to apply a surface coating to bulk materials. Two completely different phenomena and applications.
