What is "196X"?
[edit]Section Plot: What does "196X" mean in "In 196X, the two-man spacecraft, crewed by one Japanese and one American (Fuji and Glenn), is approaching Jupiter"? Is it a misspelling? --Mortense (talk) 13:14, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- It's not a misspelling. In the film, an onscreen title indicates the story takes place in the year "196X", which is just a vague way of setting the movie in the decade of the 1960s without specifying the exact year in which it takes place. A similar example can be found in the first Godzilla video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, which features in-game text stating that the game's story takes place in "2XXX A.D.". –Matthew - (talk) 19:27, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
"Godzilla vs. Monster Zero"
[edit]This movie was called "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero" in the USA long before 1983. I was born in 1963 and watched this movie on TV since the very early 1970s and it was always called "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero". Vincent Ree (talk) 16:10, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

I own the Simitar VHS with the Monster Zero onscreen title, so I was able to cite it with UPC and catalog number. --Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 06:11, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Neither eBay or that UPC/catalog number are acceptable inline cites or verified sources, per WP:RS and WP:INCITE. Information must be attributed to a reliable and verified source. Armegon (talk) 00:41, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
This is comparable to saying that citing a print book is unacceptable. --Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 06:05, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- I brought the issue to WikiProject Film to see if this line of citing is acceptable, you can find the topic here. Armegon (talk) 04:51, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
Citation
[edit]The proper way to cite an author with a suffix is "Galbraith, Stuart, IV."--Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 06:07, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
