Fair use rationale for Image:Gladiatorimp.jpg

[edit]

Image:Gladiatorimp.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because this is clearly a total rewrite by User:Stoshmaster using none of the material from the previously-deleted article, and in fact now includes multiple independent WP:RS so should be subject to a new AFD if necessary instead of being speedy deleted. Agreed. Though I never seen the old revision. It doesn’t look half bad for start class in my opinion. Jhenderson 777 15:22, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the defense of the article against speedy deletion! I wasn't aware a previous version of the article had been deleted. It is important to note that only a small portion of Imperial Guardsmen are Shi'ar — the vast majority are "unidentified aliens". I also added a bunch more WP:RS... -- stoshmaster (talk) 01:27, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Imperial Guard (comics)Imperial Guard (Marvel Comics) – Better dab per WP:NCC, which says (comics) is typically not preferred unless a publication; not sure if it would be (comics organization) to be proper, but regardless, this is also to deconflict with Imperial Guard (Warhammer 40,000) because there are also a lot of Warhammer 40,000 comics out there from various publishers. (To a lesser extent, avoids the manga info at Imperial Guardians (Rave Master) as well). - 2pou (talk) 18:54, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
