Review
[edit]I think the article is pretty good as it is now and it's ready to be moved to the main space now. - FakirNL (talk) 11:35, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- I'm thinking of polishing a bit (esp. Discogrpahy) before moving. Potasmic (talk) 04:25, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- The discography currently is missing the mention of his single/work for DOROHEDORO Original Soundtrack (he contributed a track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhQQ57N-9ys ), not sure how to add this to the article. Just mentioning it here for the completeness' sake. 93.185.29.140 (talk) 21:28, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
Draft submission
[edit]This has been declined twice due to "lack of reliable sources". It was first because "facebook is not a reliable source", despite the fact it was a primary source from the artists themselves, which is allowed per WP:SELFPUB. After this was corrected, it was declined again due to the same reason without explanation. There are 36 sources in the article, including from such sources as the Chicago Reader, Allmusic, Ultimate Guitar, MetalSucks, Loudwire, Metal Hammer, Blabbermouth, and Metal Injection, as well as the websites of various music festivals. It shouldn't be an issue of notability, as the artists has received reviews from Allmusic and been nominated for a major award for his film score, as well as releasing albums on two notable labels. I'm confused as to why it's been declined, because I feel the reasons given aren't accurate, can a proper explanation be given for why the article was denied?
Paging users User:Shadowowl and User:Chrissymad who declined the draft.RF23 (talk) 00:50, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- If you click "random page" a couple of times you'll find most pages on this Wikipedia have only one or a few sources. This band plays at big festivals around the world, but 36 sources aren't enough? - FakirNL (talk) 23:38, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- One more source to support WP:N. Here's a coverage on Joan of Arc movie Igorrr from The Stranger (newspaper): https://www.thestranger.com/slog/2018/04/17/26046002/death-metal-and-techno-joan-of-arc-in-jeannette-the-childhood-of-joan-of-arc Potasmic (talk) 02:23, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
- as far as I can tell, this passes criteria, 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10 of WP:Band. RF23 (talk) 10:55, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- Also probably number 7, but that's harder to prove. the Breakcore page has a redlink to igorrr.RF23 (talk) 10:58, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- I made a page that's been moved here that includes some sources that I thought would help validate WP:N a while back. Not sure if all the sources there are used, you might've re-iterated them above. (Note, I think I included Anthony Fantano as source there but he might not be eligible as a source because of self-publishing). I've also seen some real-life interview footage of Igorrr on YouTube floating around; those might come into good use. Potasmic (talk) 17:52, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not certain if YouTube is credible as a source, but I'll just put it here in case someone knows how to cite them:
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTPLEWeZBjw can be additional sources for already-existing statements in the draft (inspiration, etc.)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwihtNYFqFw from Metal Injection (I don't know if Metal Injection has done a transcription of the interview)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qllRnHHNuOk Interview with the Jeanette film (in French)
- Hope this helps with the citations. Potasmic (talk) 18:20, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

- And here is the old deletion discussion page, which has some sources to harvest as well! Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Igorrr. Potasmic (talk) 18:31, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
- As a side note I have the page for Savage Sinusoid ready to go on my sandbox whenever this page is published (hopefully it will be soon). Feel free to edit that if there's anything you think you can improve.RF23 (talk) 04:02, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Notability/NMUSIC Discussion
[edit]This article is, of course, subject to disputes on notability grounds WP:NMUSIC. This necessitates both suitable sources, as well as satisfying at least 1 criterion of those offered.
To save reading through every source offered, I would advise the following 5 as the most suitable, though they are of course subject to dispute:
1) Le Monde – primarily a review at bottom half, 2) All Music short bio, 3) Chicago Reader - something between a review and a genre analysis, 4) Another All Music piece, but this time a review, 5) French review of a film, with the majority about Igorrr’s music in it
- As a note, the AllMusic articles are provided by staff writers, not the own contribution section of the site
Regarding WP:NMUSIC I would say that as well as criterion 1, it also satisfies criteria 4 & 7. It is possible other criteria apply, but these three are the ones that are most reliable.

- Thannks Nosebagbear. I was ready to mark it as reviewed but then a couple of the sources I was checking which confirmed notability didn't look like RS. I ran out of time so I threw on the tag and moved on. I think the sources above do confirm notability from RS. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 20:19, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
