Range

[edit]

Would it be good to add something about where these fungi are found? And the same in the articles about species? —JerryFriedman (Talk) 18:33, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it would. Damn hard to find accurate material on ranges of fungi compared with birds, even dinosaurs etc. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 03:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looking now.....Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:28, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The fruitbodies of its members grow by slowly enveloping bits of grass and vegetation around them. - strange construction - the "envelop" and "around them" go abit oddly. how about "The fruitbodies of its members grow by slowly enveloping bits of nearby grass and vegetation."?
One of the better-known species is the unusual pinkish-white species Hydnellum peckii, also known as "strawberries and cream" or as the "bleeding tooth fungus" due to the red droplets that appear on the pinkish or whitish fruitbodies. - I'd remove second "species"
link stipe at first instance
In 1981, however, Walter Jülich emended Donk's concept, adding Hydnellum and Sarcodon - a reason would be good to add here
...the eastern Tropics - link or explain

Otherwise looks pretty good. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 04:18, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reviewing! I may take to FAC sometime after I get a hold of a couple more references and fill in the species redlinks, so any further suggestions are welcome. Sasata (talk) 06:26, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
