Long storm history but short impact. Jdorje 04:12, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected category error

Infobox said that Gert was Cat 1 but really was 2. juan andrés 20:02, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my fault, but good catch. Hurricanehink 20:14, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Storm Path

[edit]

I think it is better to add this section to the storm path to make it more complete. Momoko

Tropical depressions are not included in the best track, so that is not easily possible. — jdorje (talk) 03:24, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Though Tropical depressions are not included in the best track, the above preliminary track should have a certain degree of accuracy and worth including. Momoko
Yea. Hey Nilfanion, wherever you are, could you do this? íslenska hurikein #12 (samtal) 14:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Umm, thats some distance down the priority list. I'll have a go at it eventually but what Jdorje said above is just as true for me: No best track = a pain to make the map.--Nilfanion (talk) 20:07, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Can we add it to the article now? íslenska hurikein #12 (samtal) 19:56, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rename

[edit]

Rename the page to "Hurricane Gert-Tropical Depression Fourteen-E(1993)" Thanks.--Macman(252) (My edits!!!!!) 19:06, 26 June 2014 (UTC) 716[reply]

No - there's no point in noting the US Department of Defense designation in the title.Jason Rees (talk) 19:48, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, there is no precedent to doing this. Gert was a hurricane that was later a TD in the EPAC. There aren't many sources online that has the combined title. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:08, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why? It was only a TD in the EPAC. YE Pacific Hurricane 21:21, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lock this article

[edit]

This article should be locked if it is featured on the main page lest you want to be reverting vandalism to it all day. --Kuzwa (talk) 03:14, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The main article of the day is never locked. It goes against the wiki spirit. If anons come to the site, they should be able to do one of the primary aspects of wiki, which is editing. Unfortunately, that means we'll be reverting vandalism for most of the day, but perhaps one of those visitors will decide to join and become Jimmy Wales's successor. You never know :) ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:56, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
