The article says this is the longest railroad bridge in the U.S., but I don't think that's right. The Norfolk Southern bridge over the mouth of Lake Pontchartrain measures about 30,000 feet on Google Earth. Is there an authoritative source on this anywhere? OK, nobody ever answered the question, and I found a source that says the NS Lake Pontchartrain bridge is 5.8 miles long (compared to 4.4 miles for the Huey P Long), so I created a new article on that bridge and changed every thing I could find that says Huey P Long is the longest rail bridge in the US.Dunncon13 (talk) 13:09, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the link to Mike Palmieri's Louisiana Rail Stuff webpage. He lost the computer used to maintain the site during Katrina, as well as all of his electronic and paper records, and has opted not to rebuild the site.Macmedic892 (talk) 02:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can we get a picture of the IMPRESSIVE RENOVATION?
