[edit]Can someone please edit the characters table to include Book of Dragons and Gift of the Night Fury? I don't know how to properly format tables like that. dogman15 (talk) 19:28, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
- We need some source for the characters in Book of Dragons. IMDb has characters (partly) listed for Gift of the Night Fury, but not for Book of Dragons.--Carniolus (talk) 20:07, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
There's a Minecraft mod called 'Hiccup's Legacy' which includes the Night Fury and the Deadly Nadder. I feel like it should say something about that, but I don't know how to add it. ThisPurpleOne (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Orphaned references in How to Train Your Dragon (franchise)
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of How to Train Your Dragon (franchise)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "LATimes":
- From Game of Thrones (TV series): Colins, Scott (August 8, 2010). "With 'Game of Thrones,' HBO is playing for another 'True Blood'". LATimes.com. Los Angeles Times.
- From Dragons: Riders of Berk: Ito, Robert (September 8, 2012). "'Dragons: Riders of Berk' spreads its wings on Cartoon Network". Los Angeles Times. Retrieved September 11, 2012.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:35, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved. (non-admin closure) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:58, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- How to Train Your Dragon (franchise) → How to Train Your Dragon
- How to Train Your Dragon → How to Train Your Dragon (novel series)
– Why assume people are looking for the series of novels when the movie franchise has since eclipsed them? The franchise should be the primary topic, or at the very least there should be a disambiguation page in the main namespace. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 19:50, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support moves. By this point, the film franchise is the clear primary topic. O.N.R. (talk) 23:52, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support. More likely at this point that someone will be looking for the film or film series. Makes sense to move the franchise article to the base title since it covers everything a dab page would anyway. PC78 (talk) 13:02, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support move. Timur9008 (talk) 13:47, 25 October 2019 (UTC)

New Timeline Section
[edit]Guys, we should make a neat little section about timeline of all the media featuring Hiccup, main films and shorts both. G.G.Hirve (talk) 22:16, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
List of Characters
[edit]Is there any reason at all as to why there's no "List of How to Train Your Dragon characters" page?
I mean, this franchise has a boatload of characters that would be perfect for listing in a separate page from this one.Austin012599 (talk) 04:10, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
