[edit]This page should be merged with Shichahai, which is the other name of Houhai.
- I disagree. Houhai and Shichahai are not synonymous. Shichaihai is a area consisting of several lakes, of which one is possibly Houhai (not according to the article). Poeloq 15:32, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
"Houhai /---/ is a lake /---/ Until recently Houhai only consisted of a few restaurants." A lake consisting of restaurants? Unbelievable. Most likely, part of the text should be rephrased. Either some sentences should refer to "Houhai region/Shore" or the definition should be "Houhai is a lake and its surrounding district", whichever is correct. --Oop (talk) 19:33, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
"Houhai" doesn't mean "Back Sea." It means "Queen Sea." The definition of 后 here shows that it can either mean "queen" or "back" - http://www.yellowbridge.com/chinese/wordsearch.php?searchMode=C&word=%E5%90%8E&cache=1 But it was named for "queen," and the band Hou Hai Da Sha Yu, which was named after the lake, has it's English name as "Queen Sea Big Shark" - http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Queen_Sea_Big_Shark — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.63.224.52 (talk) 15:41, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
