NPOV
[edit]This article does not describe what the article title sys, IMO. The current article is a list of decisions the EU has taken which the Catholic Church opposes. The EU has taken these decisions independently, not in relation to the Cathoic Churhc, the Vatican, or anyone else. The same or a similar list could be given in an article titled "The European Union and the conservatives in the US" or a number of similar titles (will we have articles listing all major political organisations and the objections of all major religions?). I don't really see how this article can be made according to WP:NPOV: even if the text is neutral (which it isn't, though an effort has clearly been made), the subject, the choive of topics, is a reflection, of "what the catholic church opposes in the EU". Perhaps that would be a better title, but I fear that the article will always have problems by its nature. An other solution is to make the problems between the EU and the CC a section of the main article, which lists the diplomatic ties between the two etcetera. As it is now, the title does not at all reflect the contents, and the contents are very one-sided. Fram 09:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I totaly agree, especily phrases like the failure of the EU to include God in the constitution. Interesting idea though if expanded and made NPOV. - J Logan t: 13:53, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Terminology
[edit]The article confuses the Holy See with Vatican City. These are two different entities, one claiming to be a non-geographic sovereign entity, the other a territorial creation of 1929. See Holy See Clivemacd (talk) 12:21, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
