False source sited
[edit]"A depiction of the "long serpent" rocket launcher from the 11th century book Wujing Zongyao." This drawing absolutely did not come from the original 11th Century version of the book Wujing Zongyao. No such rockets or rocket launchers existed for a couple hundred years after the 11th Century. Needham's book, Volume 4, p. 496 does not even treat subjects of the 11th Century time period. This drawing and the associated sighting are nonsense. This needs to be deleted until an appropriated siting and explanation of the drawing are given. Otherwise the drawing should be left out.Magneticlifeform (talk) 04:40, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Harvard refs not working
[edit]Most of the harvnb refs that are used in this article are not working. This includes Zaloga 2003, Goddard 2002, Clary 2003, Esnault-Pelterie 1913, Space History Division 1999, and many others. This means the actual reference details are not provided in the article. I assume that this is just due to some cross-editing but I think we need to decide whether to just cut all these out rather than including a bunch of ghost-refs. The reason I noticed this is that I wanted to check the authenticity of the claim made in this article that, prior to the development of the Laval nozzle, rocket efficiencies were 2%. Orphaned references in History of rockets
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of History of rockets's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 06:26, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
