Before partition

[edit]

British India before partition was Akhand Bharat. After partion of India it was separated as Bharat and Pakistan. If this fact is correct, why my edit is being reverted by other user? Anubhavklal (talk) 18:15, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can see in the linked article, Akhand Bharat is a recent (mid-20th century) term. Implying that this was historically synonymous with Hindustan is incorrect.RegentsPark (comment) 19:14, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Simultaneous use

[edit]

The beginning of the article states that it is a term for northern India initially.

But the term was always used simultaneously for North India and the entire subcontient and sources in the article do state that too.

So should I change it?

From "initially used for North India but later expanded to the entire subcontinent"

to "the term was initially used simultaneously for North India and subcontinent but later expanded only to the entire subcontinent".
