This article needs some serious NPOV trimming. I'm posting this as a heads-up, in case someone wants to do it before I trim to the bone. Akradecki 22:54, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
integration
[edit]"founded in 1971, just after integration laws came into effect..." Is that a coded way of saying this was set up as a "white flight" school? If so, should we not either spell that out or remove the allusion? Alarics (talk) 19:26, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Hello Alarics and Akradecki -- The agreed term in 2017 is Segregation academy. It is a school specifically that was started specifically to to be segregated, between 1954 and 1973. A white flight school that practiced de facto segregation could have existed or been formed after. The folks who started segregation academies called them freedom of choice schools.
