Since the article almost received an opposite verdict [1] (@MJL:), I should clarify that I think the article sufficiently demonstrates that it passes WP:GNG and confirms to WP:WAF (which is usually the problem with characters). That said, there isn't a lot of content. However, whether this and other characters should be at List of Rainbow Six Siege characters or something (is there any besides Caveira?) would be an editorial decision rather than one of notability. With some more gamecrufty stuff trimmed, it should likely be a character list, but we currently only have 1 item (if Caveira stays a stand-alone article). Until there is a list, I think a stand-alone article for "lesser" characters is fine. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK09:38, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I pretty much just went off of the general notability guidelines, meaning that the article subject has to had received a bunch of notable news coverage from various independent and reliable sources. Luckily, both Caveira and Hibana have over 40+, which is plenty to demonstrate notability in my opinion. As for the list, that is definitely a possibility as there is a couple dozen operators from various countries and military/special police branches, though I'm not sure how to make an article like that since it isn't my field. Most operators won't receive articles, but some extremely popular and famous/infamous operators could receive articles in the future. Micro (Talk) 09:51, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Hellknowz and MicroPowerpoint: I don't have doubts as to whether this article meets wp:GNG. My decision mostly came about as I wasn't aware how many operators would additionally meet the GNG. I assumed it was more than a handful, but if that isn't the case this article is fine. I suppose we can discuss a merger if more of these articles get written. The prose is great though, and to be straight I'm glad another reviewer got to this before I did since it's a good article. Cheers! –MJL‐Talk‐☖16:00, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MJL: At the very most, I can think of 4 operators who could get articles. Those who could are Ash, Doc, Tachanka, and maybe Blitz, though I'm not 100% sure since I haven't dug into any references. The other 40 or so operators would only get brief little sections in the aforementioned list article. Because of the ratio of articles-to-sections, I believe that 4 additional articles could be fine, though that's just an opinion. Micro (Talk) 01:01, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
