The sentence below added nothing to the article. Steagall remains better known as a politician than as a relative of a president of a small company.

"However, Mr. Steagall is now best known as the grandfather of Henry Steagall Holman - the President of one of the largest tax map companies in West-Central Alabama."

I have removed the sentence. At a minimum, it requires substantiation of the relationship and its importance and relevance. Leeannedy 22:01, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone added a rather provoking "out of the blue" statement where Mr Steagall was called "Marse" by blacks. It's a pretty random statement which implies it was meant to be derogatory. However, these politicians are from the 19th century, so it is not unheard of for many whites to be called marse especially if they were as prominent as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson who owned slaves of their own to their dying day. Perhaps the person who used this identical random "marse" statement should also tack it onto the articles for George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, but those people are too prominent and might get him banned for posting spiteful yet technically correct facts as vandalism.AnimeJanai (talk) 20:23, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
