T3 trivia

[edit]

Commonly known as T3 by regular users. The T3 soubriquet is also emulated in the name of bars throughout the Middle East. In particular the Sergeants Mess at RAFO Thumrait in Oman. If any other wikip[edians know of more references to Terminal Three in their daily life we might be able to work a meaningful paragraph into the article. Please post any info here:

Rebuilt in 1980s/90s

[edit]

I can't find a good reference but the main part of this terminal (certainly departures) was totally rebuilt in the 80s / 90s - after T4 opened. It was rebuilt 50% at a time from the foundations up.

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:London Heathrow Airport which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 11:44, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Closure date

[edit]

This article states that T3 will close by 2019, based on a poorly worded comment in the ITV news article. This is not supported by any documents on Heathrow's website, which imply no date for this, and as a longterm aspiration only.--86.136.145.1 (talk) 22:42, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are there any documents on Heathrow's website that show that there's no planned date for T3's demolition? Conifer (talk) 20:17, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I removed this claim as the ITV article is erroneous. This is why no other reliable sources can be found to support 2019 demolition.--Pontificalibus (talk) 06:35, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
