You should include the percentage of Ethiopian ethnic groups that live in Hawasa. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.48.230.53 (talkcontribs) 02:14, 18 December 2009

Wikipedia = Propaganda

[edit]

Why do you include racist statistics on ethnicities, who cares. Ethiopians are one people who might speak different languages, that's all. Next time, please include all minorities living in Western cities, you hypocrites. If you don't have something good to say, just shut up OK. Fuck white people!

Requested move 22 March 2021

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: RESULT. Move to Hawassa. Not much participation, and I don't think this was controversial enough to put up a tag. If it is controversial for a reason I'm not aware of, we can change it back to Awasa.(non-admin closure) Fredlesaltique (talk) 00:55, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AwasaHawassa – Manual of Style suggests that article titles follow their usage in reliable English-language sources. Many news sources (National Public Radio (US), the Economist, Reuters, and BBC) use Hawassa. Per Google Scholar searches, recent academic studies appear to prefer "Hawassa," and use of "Awassa" is more common with the lake (examples here, here and here). I could not find any official government sources or a city website, however. Fredlesaltique (talk) 01:10, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
