The result of the move request was: not moved. Tassedethe makes a good case that "Harpreet Sandhu" is the common name for the politician. Therefore those supporting a move need to make a clear argument that the actor is the primary topic, and they haven't done so (just saying someone is more prominent/notable is not enough, you need to show some sort of proof). Oppose The page Harpreet Sandhu was originally a politician which was moved a couple of times eventually ending at Harpreet Singh Sandhu (politician). The references therein indicate that his WP:COMMONNAME is Harpreet Sandhu (e.g. his website harpreetsandhu.wordpress.com). Therefore I have moved that page to Harpreet Sandhu (politician) and oppose this move on the grounds that there is another notable Harpreet Sandhu. I have also converted Harpreet Sandhu to a disambiguation page. (Many incoming links refer to the politician). Tassedethe (talk) 01:08, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Support. No need for this disambiguation. The page Harpreet Sandhu (politician) itself suggest under its first line the name is Harpreet Singh Sandhu and Under 2008 elections results on the page on column 7 the name of politician is listed as Harpreet Singh Sandhu (Incumbent). Proves that person's legal name is Harpreet Singh Sandhu. Support. No reliable source to prove Harpreet Sandhu (politician) exists as Harpreet Sandhu. In fact third party sources say Harpreet Sandhu (politician) is Harpreet Singh Sandhu^[1]. Jasperna
Comment. Per WP:COMMONNAME it is not the legal name that is used to title an article. (See the list there e.g. Bill Clinton not: William Jefferson Clinton). And there are multiple reliable sources, in addition to the politician's personal website harpreetsandhu.wordpress.com. The article lists several articles from the San Francisco Chronicle e.g. [1] where the politician is referred to as Harpreet Sandhu.
