Academic Geneologies

[edit]

This appears to be an academic geneology rather than a profile of a notable mathematician. Is this truly encyclopedic? Tobycat 18:23, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It has probably been added to since then, but your view may also have been distorted by many appropriate links not showing up in What links here because they went to disambiguation page (haen't checked to see if this involved cut and paste move). AEA case

[edit]

Should be some discussion of David Hilbert's Entscheidungsproblem, and in particular the AEA case that Kahr Moore and Wang settled; this was the reason Wang invented his celebrated tiles in the first place. I do not know enough about this to write it myself at this time--C Goodman-Strauss 23:39, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The alleged PDF link is in fact a link to an IBM web shop. This is against Wikipedia policy.--217.232.236.86 (talk) 16:11, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
